Was nervous about those wireless sensors for a warehouse job in Dallas
I always told customers hardwired was the only way to go, but after 8 months of zero false alarms on a 20-zone wireless system I installed last spring, I changed my mind. Has anyone else had reliability issues with wireless in big metal buildings?

Oh man, that metal building thing is the key. Were you using repeaters or just hoping the signal would punch through?

Figured I'd try without repeaters first, see how bad it really was. It's funny though, this is the exact same problem you see with wifi and concrete walls in houses. Everybody just throws a router in the corner and wonders why the bedroom gets nothing. Same logic applies here, you gotta plan the signal path or you're just wasting time.
