TIL you can look up your own property tax history on the Bernalillo County site and I about fell out of my chair
I used to just pay whatever showed up in the mail every November and never thought twice about it. Last week I finally poked around the county treasurer's website and saw my assessed value jumped 22% since 2021, way more than anything I agreed to. Now I pull the records every spring and check the comps on my street before the notices even get printed. Has anyone actually won a protest with the county, and what did you bring with you?

I heard you basically need recent comps from your street, since the county won't just take your word for it.
