Man, this hits home because my fades look like I cut them in the dark with safety scissors. I've watched probably a hundred hours of tutorials and I still catch myself muscling the clippers around like I'm trying to start a lawnmower. That line about fighting the head is real though, every time I tense up my whole arm goes stiff and the blend turns into a staircase. Locking the wrist and letting the curve do the work makes so much sense now that I read it. I'm gonna try that on my next cut and probably still mess it up, but at least I'll know why.

Man, that feeling of looking back at your early charts is rough. Keeping the old books is worth it though, they're like a diary of how far you've come.
