Heads up: Filler episodes in anime are more important than you think

I know many fans skip filler episodes fast. But in shows like Naruto, fillers give side characters like Hinata more screen time. These episodes show her growth that main arcs often skip. Without them, her big moments later feel less earned. I saw this when a buddy skipped fillers and was lost during the Pain arc. So, I tell you to watch fillers for full story context. It makes the whole anime way better to follow.

Honestly the world-building in filler gets overlooked too... seeing how regular people live in that ninja village makes the setting feel real, not just a backdrop for fights. That quiet world stuff makes you care when it's actually threatened later.

Have you ever rewatched a filler arc and liked it more later? In my experience, those slow bits make the place feel real. You end up caring more when the action starts because you've seen the quiet days they're fighting for.

Remember some filler just pads runtime though.
