I always skipped the filler in Naruto Shippuden, but my friend made me watch one

I picked the 'Three-Tails' arc over just reading a summary, and it actually had some solid world-building for the Mist Village. The fight with Guren's crystal style was way better than I expected for a non-canon story. Has anyone else found a filler episode that didn't feel like a waste of time?

The one that got me was the "Kakashi Anbu" arc. It's filler, but it shows his time in the black ops after his father's death. Seeing him as a colder, younger man added real weight to his later character. The bit where he first meets Tenzo and learns wood style actually felt important. It's rare for filler to add that much depth.

Yeah, that arc was surprisingly good. Actually, @richardknight, the Kakashi Anbu arc is technically filler too, but it's some of the best stuff they made.
