Sat through a 4 hour con panel in Baltimore that changed how I watch every show now
Two years ago at Otakon I sat through a panel about fight choreography in anime and it rewired my brain. The guy broke down one 12 second cut from Mob Psycho 100 frame by frame and showed how the animator bent the whole background on purpose. Before that I just watched fights and went 'cool' and moved on. Now I pause every single action scene and half the time the best part is some smear frame that flies by in a blink. It made me way pickier too, because once you see what real effort looks like you notice when a show is just sliding stills around. So what fight scene made you actually stop and rewind it?
