inShowerthought: I wrote off animated shows for grown ups until my buddy left episode one of Arcane running on his couch in Denver
Arcane got me too, finished it in three nights flat.

inSpent 3 hours chasing a $0.47 difference in my grocery budget because a coupon rounded down
Honestly the part that gets me is you kept every receipt for a whole month. Like was that on purpose or did they just pile up in a drawer somewhere? Because my system is shoving them in my bag until it weighs ten pounds and then I go through them all at once. Also what made your partner just stand there watching instead of saying something? Mine would've called it after twenty minutes, tops. I need to know if this was a silent support thing or a quiet "let him cook" situation.

inThought sitcoms were dead until I binged 6 seasons of one in 4 days
Kinda gotta push back on the laugh track thing. A lot of the newer sitcoms don't even use one, they film more like a single camera comedy without the fake audience stuff. The one you're talking about might be one of those honestly, since the whole "characters grow" thing is way harder to pull off with a live audience resetting the vibe every week. What show was it? Also Parks and Rec for me. Tried the first season years ago and thought it was just a bad Office knockoff, then someone told me to skip to season 2 and I finished the whole thing in like a week.
