Unpopular opinion: I think the sub vs dub fight is pointless when the show has terrible pacing
Was rewatching a 24 episode show from 2016 with a friend who only does subs and we got into it about the dub for like 30 minutes before we both admitted the middle 8 episodes drag no matter what language you pick, so now I wanna know what shows made you drop the audio debate entirely because the story itself was the real problem.

Steins Gate was that show for me. The first half is a slow burn no matter what audio you pick, and I swear I almost quit like 5 times. Tried both sub and dub and the drag in those early episodes hits the exact same way. The audio was never the issue, the pacing was.
