An old lady in St. Paul taught me a dryer trick I still use
She watched me replace her heating element and said 'honey, the lint trap ain't the only place lint hides,' then showed me how she pulls the vent hose off and runs a leaf blower through it every spring, and honestly that's saved me 3 callbacks since.
