Just had a washer drain pump fight me for 45 minutes in a basement in Philly
The stupid clip wouldn't pop off no matter what I tried, ended up busting a knuckle on the concrete wall. Has anyone else run into those Samsung pumps where the retaining clip is basically welded on?

Oh man, Samsung pumps are the absolute worst for that. I had one on a dryer last month and literally used a flathead screwdriver, a pry bar, and some choice curse words before it finally gave. The clips feel like they're made of warped plastic that shrinks over time. And busting a knuckle just makes the whole job feel personal, like the machine won. Hope you got it sorted though, those basement jobs are always tight and dark too.
