Just read that over 80% of the world's internet users live under laws that let governments demand data from tech companies

Wait, you're telling me my secret recipe for microwave ramen isn't safe from the government? Great. I switched to Signal a few months back and the hardest part was explaining to my mom why she can't just text me screenshots of her cat on WhatsApp anymore. She thinks I'm being dramatic until I showed her the fine print on Facebook's privacy policy. Now she's trying to get her bingo group to migrate and it's honestly more stressful than filing taxes. But hey, at least now when I send a questionable meme, it's actually mine to keep.

I finally took a chance on that sketchy traffic lawyer in a strip mall near Southgate

Wait, is this the same guy who works out of that little plaza where the old Blockbuster used to be? Cause I had a totally bonkers experience with a lawyer there (not for traffic, but for a dispute with my landlord about a broken washing machine). The guy looked like he hadn't slept in a decade, his desk was covered in old coffee cups, but he wrote this three paragraph letter that scared my landlord so bad he paid for a brand new washer and dryer. I mean, the place smelled like stale donair and photocopier toner, but I saved like eight hundred bucks. Sometimes the sketchiest setups hide the most practical hustlers, you know?

Shoutout to the receptionist in Omaha who saved my inventory system

Hot take: I was wrong about using regular grease on door hanger rollers.

Used to run standard lithium grease on everything and thought it was fine, but then I had a building where the rollers were dying every four months without fail. The synthetic lithium complex stuff is pricier but the way it holds up under constant high traffic is night and day. That experience flipped my thinking completely, now I won't use anything else on heavy commercial doors.

Showerthought: I'm seeing more cracked back glass than ever before

Did you catch that article about how the new phone designs are just more fragile? I read somewhere that the glass backs are thinner now to help with wireless charging, so they crack way easier than the old ones.
