That moment a customer's 'fix' made the problem worse
Had a call last month in Columbus for a fridge not cooling. Guy swears he fixed it himself by putting a wet towel behind the unit. Said he saw it online. Yeah, the coil was frozen solid and the towel just made it worse. Took me an hour to thaw everything out. He was real nice about it though, admitted he shoulda called first. Anyone else run into DIY fixes that cause more damage than the original issue?

The wet towel trick is just asking for trouble. Those coils need air moving around them, not a soggy rag blocking everything up. Call a pro next time and save yourself the headache.
