Warning: My old method for setting climbing lines was risking a fall every time.

Switching to a simple pre-tie knot cut my setup time in half and feels much safer.

Try checking that knot twice before you commit to the climb.

I totally get that (the paranoia is real). I've started touching the knot after I check it, then looking away and checking it again, like a weird security blanket. It turns the double-check into a full, three-part physical routine.

I've taken "check twice" to a whole new level. My pre-climb ritual now involves checking the knot until I'm just standing there, paranoid.
