That week in March when every single photo came out orange
Back in March I spent five nights straight at a dark sky site near Fort Davis, Texas. Every image I stacked that week had a nasty orange cast that no filter or white balance setting would fix. I swore it was a sensor issue, even checked my camera at the local repair shop in Alpine. Turned out my lens had a tiny dust spot that scattered light, plus I left the in-camera white balance on auto. Everyone online told me to just shoot raw and fix it in post, but that advice never saved a single frame from that trip. Now I set white balance manually before I even frame a target, and I still check that lens with a flashlight every time. Has anyone else had a whole batch ruined by something that small and dumb? I figure I can't be the only one who burned a full week on a speck of dust.
