Spent $40 on a weighted lap pad and it's a total game changer for my focus
I kept getting overwhelmed during online classes and bought a 5 pound lap pad on a whim. It calms my system down so much I can actually follow the lecture now. Anyone have other good sensory tools for staying grounded?

Weighted blankets get all the hype, but a lap pad makes way more sense for sitting at a desk. I read an article about deep pressure touch being a legit signal to your nervous system to chill out. It’s like a constant, gentle hug that tells your brain it’s okay to focus. For other tools, I’ve had good luck with those textured fidget rings you can spin. They’re quiet and keep your hands busy without being a whole production.

Oh man, you're totally right about the lap pad! I use one that's filled with rice and it's perfect for keeping my legs still when I'm trying to work. The fidget ring idea is smart too, way less distracting than clicking a pen all day. I might have to try that out myself.
