Oh man, that sound is the worst, once got stuck in a Target aisle because a freezer was humming loud.

Honestly, stuck in a Target aisle is just a regular Tuesday for me. You can always just move three feet over and the hum fades. Freezer hum is just background noise compared to the sound of someone loudly chewing gum next to you in line. Or worse, the little kid having a meltdown over not getting a toy. That's the real noise hazard.
