Man, that makes me rethink things. I used to get mad when insurance would total a vehicle instead of fixing it. But last year I saw a similar older truck get a dented bed and bent frame. The repair bill was way more than the truck's book value. Suddenly it made sense why they'd just write a check. Sometimes fixing it really isn't worth it.
