Shoutout to the old-timer who swore by using a heat gun on plastic bumper tabs
I was fixing a cracked Mazda 3 bumper and thought heating the tabs was just going to make them worse, but after 90 seconds on low, they popped right back into place without snapping. What's one shop trick you were sure was nonsense that actually works?

Sounds like a lot of effort for some plastic tabs. Just buy the new clips, they cost like five bucks.

I thought that was a great way to melt the whole bumper. Guess I owe that old guy an apology.
