Put mud flaps on my Focus ST for a winter in Minneapolis, one thing happened that I did not expect
I drive a 2016 Focus ST and last November I threw on a set of Rally Armor mud flaps before the salt season hit. Figured they would just keep the rocker panels clean, but the car actually stayed warmer inside on my 22 mile commute, since less slush was getting packed up under the rear bumper. I checked my math on gas too and picked up about 1.5 mpg over the winter, which I credit to less drag from all that frozen crud. Has anyone else noticed a small mpg bump from flaps, or did I just get lucky with a mild winter?
