Am I the only one who thinks hub shipping beats door to door for cross country moves?
Last month I moved my Civic from Denver to Baltimore and got quotes from $1,050 door to door down to $780 if I dropped it at a terminal outside the city. I went with the terminal option and the car showed up in 6 days with zero damage, but a guy at the pickup lot said he'd never do it again because his truck got a scratch in the holding yard. So now I can't decide if I got lucky or if the savings are actually worth giving up the door to door handoff. What did you all pick when you moved, and did the cheaper terminal route ever bite you?
