inMy neighbor said she 'doesn't believe in budgets' and it blew my mind
That "rough plan" idea sounds stressful to me, like another chore. I get what angela_king39 is saying about the Target trips, but for me, winging it works. I just check my bank app before I shop. If I see I have money, I buy the fancy cheese. If I don't, I get the regular stuff. It keeps me from stressing over every single dollar and I still pay my bills.

inWatching a barber in Tokyo handle a double cowlick with just thinning shears changed my whole approach.
My own cowlick is so bad I once gave myself a reverse mohawk trying to thin it. Evan's vertical section idea is the only thing that saves me from looking like a confused hedgehog.

inMy neighbor's 'set it and forget it' kimchi vs my daily burp routine
Always thought the daily burp was key for good kimchi. This post totally changed my mind, guess I need to find a better spot than my counter.

inHad a chat with an old salvage diver in Galveston that shifted my view on cold water work
Damn, that's so true. It's like when you realize checking your car's oil isn't just a dumb sticker reminder, it's the thing that keeps the engine from blowing up. We get lazy with the small, boring steps because nothing bad has happened yet. I've seen it with people not charging their fire alarms or skipping the test pull on a climbing rope. The routine stuff feels like a hassle until you realize it's the only thing between you and a real bad day.

inWatching guys torque those new composite panel fasteners wrong at the hangar
Yeah, that "slow final pull" thing is key. I mean, @matthew122 is right, it's a whole mood. Letting the tool do the work instead of forcing it makes all the difference.
