inUnpopular opinion: I stopped layering haircuts for texture
I mean @robin489 that's true for thick hair too, just a different kind of sad collapse.

inFirst time I hit under 20 minutes on a full house drop...
Honestly, it depends on what you're testing. Signal levels can look fine on paper but if you half-crimped a connector it'll fail in a month anyway. My husband used to run drops for a cable company and he swore by giving each connection a solid tug before moving on, saved him a ton of callbacks.

inI finally started reading the fine print on rental agreements
Right? "Snow removal clause" sounds innocent until you realize they buried a whole "you owe us your firstborn if we have to shovel" in the fine print. I swear, landlords write those things like they're hoping for a blizzard every week just to cash in. It's always something about "reasonable time" which somehow means 4 AM on a Saturday.

inCut a support beam during a kitchen reno in Phoenix last year
That "had to call a structural engineer" part really hit home for me. It's funny how we think we can eyeball things in our own homes (like, I've definitely assumed a wall was just decorative) but one wrong cut and suddenly you're paying for a professional to come save the day. This whole thing reminds me of how people assume they can fix their own plumbing or electrical work without checking codes first, and then they end up with a bigger mess than if they'd just asked for help from the start. Mistakes are fine, but the real learning is knowing when to admit you don't know something, you know?
