Said no to enclosed shipping for my move to Phoenix, open carrier saved me $600
I was dead set on enclosed transport when I got relocated from Seattle to Phoenix for work back in March. Then a dispatcher named Rob pointed out my car is a 2015 Corolla with 90k miles on it, not a show car, and quoted me $1,150 open versus $1,750 enclosed. He said the only real risk on an open carrier is rock chips and bird stuff, which I could fix for way less than 600 bucks. Ended up going open, car showed up in 3 days with one tiny chip on the hood, and has anyone else gone back and forth on this before booking?

Rob gave you solid advice for a 2015 Corolla. I shipped my Civic from Denver to Tampa last year on an open carrier for $980 and the only thing I got was some dust that washed right off. That 600 bucks you saved covers the chip fix and then some.
