Update: a dispatcher in Tulsa ripped my car shipping quote apart and he was right
I quoted a guy $1,150 to move his Civic from Tulsa to Portland and he came back with a full breakdown of why that number was a lie. He pointed out I forgot the fuel surcharge and never asked if the car ran, so it would have sat at the yard waiting on a winch fee. I now ask three questions before I ever say a price: does it drive, is it lowered, and how soon do you need it. My quotes went up on paper but I stopped eating costs on delivery day. Anybody else get called out by a customer and end up rewriting their whole process?
