An old bench tech in Wichita showed me a trick with a connector in 2009 that I still use
Back in 2009 I was a green helper at a shop in Wichita and an old bench tech watched me fight a stubborn cannon plug for 20 minutes before he walked over and showed me how to back the shell off a hair before seating the pins. He didn't lecture me, just did it once and said "let the threads do the work, not your wrist" and walked off. Anybody else still carry a trick from somebody who retired before you really knew what you were doing?
