An old pilot told me something about wiring that I still think about
Guy in his 70s came by my bench at an airfield in Reno and pointed at a harness I was building, said 'son, electrons don't care how pretty it looks, they just want a clean path home.' Has anyone else had an old timer drop a line like that that actually stuck with you on the job?

Fair point but I gotta disagree, pretty wiring usually means the builder took their time and checked everything twice. Clean paths matter, sure, but a messy harness is how you miss a chafed wire or a bad crimp that leaves you dead stick at the worst possible moment.
