My shift lead kept saying do the mic check before every taxi and I figured it was just a box to tick, until a stuck push to talk switch last Tuesday had me transmitting over ground freq for 40 seconds with no clue. Now I do the check every single time, takes 10 seconds and saves a whole lot of embarrassment. Anybody got a checklist item they used to skip that bit them later?
