Showerthought: I stopped torquing to spec on one connector type and had zero comebacks in 6 months
I got lazy on a batch of cannon plugs and just went by feel instead of looking up the value, figuring I'd catch any loose ones on the next check. Fast forward 6 months and not one of those birds came back for a connector issue, while the ones I torqued by the book had two. Now I'm not saying toss your spec sheets, but has anyone else noticed certain fasteners are way more forgiving than the manual wants you to believe?
