DAE know that 60 percent of B2B deals go to the vendor that responds first?
I read this in a sales report from Harvard Business Review last month and it kind of blew my mind. It said companies that reply to a lead within an hour are 7 times more likely to have a real talk with them. Curious if anyone here has actually tested this with their own pipeline, or is it just one of those stats that sounds good on paper?
A buddy of mine runs a small software shop and started replying to leads inside 20 minutes just to see what would happen. His close rate jumped from around 15 percent to almost 30 in two months, and he swears the speed was the whole reason. The catch is he had to drop everything else to keep up, so it only works if you can actually stick with it.
