I spent 12 hours on bagels and here's what happened

I made bagels from scratch the other day. The proofing alone took hours. Boiling them added more time. I was in the kitchen all day. The bagels turned out great, but it was a long haul. Anyone else deal with recipes that eat up your day? Share your stories.

Tbh, the part about proofing for hours really shows how some stuff just can't be rushed. It's like we're used to quick fixes, but good food often needs that slow time. Glad your bagels turned out great after all that work.

Wait, you proofed them for HOURS, @thomas291? That's some serious dedication right there, but it makes sense why the good stuff can't be rushed. The slow time really is what makes all the difference in the end.
