inI finally watched that show everyone was talking about three years ago
Honestly, is it that big a deal? Shows don't go bad. It's not like milk. You get to watch it without all the noise and hot takes. I finally saw Breaking Bad like five years after it ended. It was just as good, maybe better because I could binge it. The party isn't over, you just showed up when it's quiet.

inRant: My glue kept seeping out the spine on a 400 page hardcover
On a whim" is right... my last whim with glue ended with the book permanently stuck to the cat.

inAppreciation post: The guy who taught me the real history of Monopoly
Totally agree with @dakota379, it makes you see the whole game differently. What other games have we been playing wrong?

inJust realized a drop of grease on seatpost threads saves headaches
Absolutely preach this. My old commuter bike had a seatpost that basically became part of the frame, it was so stuck. Had to use a whole can of penetrating oil and a giant wrench, totally mangled the post. Now I grease everything, even the bolts on my kitchen table after it wobbled for months. That tiny bit of effort saves you from a massive fight later.

inA ranger in the White Mountains told me something that stuck
That line about the trail being new every day is so true! It's the biggest challenge with paper maps. I've started checking the forest service website for that specific area the night before a hike. They post small reroute notices that never make it to the big map companies. Do you find the official sites are updated fast enough, or is there still a big gap?
