My chocolate chip cookies turned into one giant cookie sheet blob
Forgot to chill the dough before baking. The whole batch melted together on the pan into a single, sad, flat mess. Anyone have a good trick to remember the chill step?

Ever put a frozen pizza in the oven and then realize you forgot to take off the cardboard? Same energy.

You ever notice how many things are designed to fail if you skip one dumb step? Like printers that won't scan if you're out of ink, or apps that make you confirm you want to delete something three times but let you send an email with no subject. It's all the same cheap trick to make you feel stupid instead of them making things that actually work right.

What if that extra step is there for a good reason though? Chilling cookie dough isn't just a dumb rule, it stops the butter from melting too fast so your cookies keep their shape. Sometimes steps feel annoying but they exist because the recipe was tested that way. It's not about making you feel dumb, it's about following instructions that give you the result you actually want.
