Warning: I just lost $75 to a fake payment app text

I got a text last week that looked like it was from my bank, saying my account was locked and to click a link. The site looked real, so I put in my login info. Two days later, I saw a $75 charge for something I never bought. The bank said it was a scam and they could not get my money back. Has anyone else seen these fake payment alerts getting better lately?

Banks send those warnings all the time. It's just seventy-five bucks, not the end of the world.

Yeah, those fake alerts look totally real now. Got hit with a similar one last month for fifty bucks.
