Can we talk about the parent who read the whole thing out loud at a board meeting in Modesto
I used to think parents who wanted certain titles pulled were just reacting to a page they never read. Then at a board meeting in Modesto a dad read a 3 paragraph passage out loud from a novel his 14 year old was assigned, and the room went dead quiet. What got me was not the passage itself, it was that he also read the page before and after so everyone knew the setup and the point. I still don't think one loud room should decide what every kid can read, but I quit assuming every complaint is fake. How do you all tell the difference between a real concern and a stunt for the cameras?
