Rant: My local library pulled 'The Hate U Give' and I didn't even notice for 3 weeks

I went to grab it for a book club, and the shelf was empty. The librarian told me it got challenged by a parent group back in October and they just quietly removed it without any signage. Has anyone else spotted books vanishing without any notice from your library?

Quietly removing a challenged book without notice is actually just standard procedure for review, not a permanent ban.

Man, that's rough. What worked for me was just being polite but persistent and asking the librarian directly when the book would be back on the shelf.
