getting banned shows you more about them then it does them about you

Got banned from a cat meme group for hitting 100 posts about my orange tabby
Apparently the mods thought I was 'spamming the feed' with my daily pictures of Garfield, even though people kept asking for more. Has anyone else gotten the boot for just being too dedicated?

I saw a whole article about this "dominating the feed" thing... it's just weird gatekeeping. Like @nancy_davis said, groups are for sharing the stuff you love. Getting banned for that just kills the whole point.

Read a few posts on Reddit about this exact thing. People getting booted from groups for being too active. Seems like some mods just want a quiet dead feed instead of actual conversation. Kills the whole purpose of a group really. If you love something and want to share it, that should be the point. Not this weird policing of how much people post.

Oh man, that's the worst. I got kicked out of a plant group for posting too many pictures of my monstera. People loved it, but one mod said I was "dominating the feed." Like, sorry for being excited about my plant's new leaf? How is sharing joy a bad thing in a group literally made for that? What's the point of these groups if you can't post the thing everyone joined to see?
