Got banned from a supplier's group for questioning their safety data

I posted about a pipe fitting that cracked way too soon in my tests. The forum mods called it false info and banned my account. It was a tough call because I didn't want to hurt their business, but people should know. My fix was to start a simple blog where I post my own findings. That way, I can still warn others without getting silenced.

Dealt with a similar shutdown when I pointed out faulty wiring in a DIY kit. The company called it user error and blocked my comments. My fix was a blog that gets about three visitors a month, mostly my mom checking in. It's not exactly viral, but at least I can sleep at night knowing I tried. Once posted a video of the sparking mess, and my only comment was from a bot selling supplements. Still, better than letting dangerous stuff slide for the sake of being polite.

Got any real feedback on that blog besides your mom? What keeps you motivated to post despite the low traffic?

Wait, hold on, you had a video of actual sparks flying from that wiring? That's insane, like a legit fire hazard right there. No wonder you kept posting even with just your mom reading. Some things are too dangerous to ignore. I mean, if that kit was sold to other people, they could have gotten hurt. Your blog might not get hits, but it's doing real work by putting that info out there.
