I finally got my 3 year ban from r/military lifted last Tuesday
Back in 2021 I got permabanned from r/military for a comment about equipment failures, no warning, no explanation. Last Tuesday a new mod named Sarah actually read my appeal and reversed it in under an hour. Three years of waiting for one person to open a message. If you're sitting on an old ban, try again, because the mod team from back then is probably gone.

Waited three years for a ban reversal like it was a prison sentence with good behavior. Honestly the funniest part is some mod named Sarah just casually scrolling through appeals one Tuesday and going "yeah sure why not." Imagine the old mods sitting around in 2021 furiously hitting the ban button over equipment talk, then dipping out and leaving Sarah to clean up their mess. Three years for a comment is wild. Glad you're free though, that sub must feel like a whole new place now.
