Pro tip: my HOA in Tucson tried to fine me $75 for a sign in my own yard, so I stapled the rulebook to the sign
They said the sign was 'commercial speech,' so I printed the actual bylaw section that allows it, taped it up under the sign, and the fine disappeared in 4 days, but now I'm wondering if anyone else has beaten a rule by just quoting the rule back at them?

Ha, that's a clever move but come on, it's a $75 fine over a yard sign, not some big rights case. Sounds like the HOA lady just got tired of looking at your paperwork.
