Unpopular opinion: Local indie bookstores are better than Barnes & Noble for finding stuff you actually want to read
I got called a hipster snob in r/books last week for saying B&N is just a big shelf of bestsellers while my local shop in Denver hooked me up with three great sci-fi picks I'd never heard of. Why do people act like chains give you more choice when it's really just less variety?

Right? Its like people forget some of us just walk in and grab whatever looks interesting. Last week I spent 20 minutes in the mystery section flipping through random books because I didnt have a list. Found a great thriller about a missing hiker that way though.
