Unpopular opinion: the mod who banned me taught me more than the people clapping for me did
Got the boot from a fishing forum in 2021 for a post about a local creek, and the mod's note said my point was buried under insults so nobody would hear it anyway. Harsh, but he was right, and now I write the point first and leave the heat out. What got you banned that you'd actually defend?
Read a thing on Reddit a while back where some guy got banned from a mechanic forum for calling out a shop that was overcharging people. Mods hit him with a ban but his inbox filled up with folks saying the same shop ripped them off. He said the ban proved his point better than the post did. Kind of wild how that works. Getting kicked out of a place can say more than staying in it ever would.
