Just hit 10,000 lines on a single drawing file and my computer didn't even blink
I was working on this huge commercial kitchen layout for a restaurant chain, and the file just kept getting bigger. I kept waiting for my usual CAD program to start lagging or crash, like it always does around the 5k mark. But I got to 10,000 individual line segments and it was still smooth. Turns out, I finally listened to a buddy and switched my hatch patterns from the default 'user defined' to a simple 'solid fill' for all the big floor areas. That one change cut the processing load by more than half, I swear. I used to think messing with hatch settings was just busywork, but it saved me from a full system freeze. Has anyone else found a simple setting that made a huge difference on a massive file?
