A mod on a fishing forum told me to appeal my ban in writing, and it actually worked
I got banned from a 40,000 member bass fishing group in March for arguing that a lake in Missouri shouldn't allow jet skis, and after I sent a polite 3 paragraph appeal to the admin's email instead of replying in the thread, he unbanned me in 2 days and admitted the mod who got me was brand new, so has anyone else had better luck appealing by email than by fighting it in the comments?

Is it really worth getting that worked up over jet skis on a lake though? I get being mad about a ban but going three paragraphs deep on a fishing forum appeal feels like a lot of energy for a hobby. Most guys would just find another group and move on with their weekend.
