My microwave tea tip got me banned from a cooking app
I was on a cooking app last week looking for fast recipe ideas. A thread popped up about the proper way to make a cup of tea. I commented that I just heat water in the microwave because it's quick and easy. Several users got mad and said that method is totally wrong. I added a joke about my microwave being my favorite kitchen helper. The next day, my account was locked for 'promoting bad habits.' It's silly how a small opinion on tea led to a ban.

Wow, that is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous! I got booted from a baking forum for admitting I use pre-made cookie dough. The drama over small choices is just unreal.

Honestly, my friend Jen got banned from a cake decorating group for admitting she used canned frosting. They told her it was "against the spirit of homemade art" and wiped all her posts without even a message. She had shared her kid's birthday cake that got tons of likes before they found out about the frosting. The drama was so intense she stopped baking for a whole month after that.
