Found a way to track deleted reddit threads before they vanish

I kept seeing memes get yanked from political subs minutes after posting, so I started using removeddit with a browser extension. You just swap the 'reddit' in the URL to 'removeddit' and it shows the original content plus mod actions. Caught a screenshot of a UK election meme that got nuked in under 10 minutes last Tuesday. Anyone else use archive tools to keep receipts on deleted stuff?

That "swap reddit to removeddit" trick is exactly how I started doing it too. I had a similar situation where a local news sub was deleting posts about a council meeting that got heated, and I couldn't figure out why the thread was gone. I ended up using reveddit as well (it shows removed comments in real time) because removeddit sometimes lags behind on newer stuff. What really worked for me was setting up a simple bookmarklet that automatically redirects any reddit page to the archived version, makes it way faster than typing out the URL every time. The combo of both tools means I can catch stuff before it's even fully deleted sometimes, which is wild. Just be careful, because some mods really don't like people using these tools and you might catch a ban from certain subs for mentioning it.

Wait, so now I need a whole toolkit just to figure out what actually got said on this site before it disappears?
