Pulled a political cartoon in Ohio, got death threats by noon

I run a small satire page and posted a cartoon about a local councilman in Dayton taking bribes from a parking lot developer. Within 3 hours, the councilman's nephew found my personal email and sent a 2-page threat. The platform pulled it for 'harassment' but the joke was literally just the guy hugging a coin meter. Anyone else get their free speech tested over something that dumb and specific?

Funny how the "free speech" crowd only protects speech they agree with. Had a similar thing happen when I did a comic strip about a school board member using district funds for a golf trip. The joke was just him putting a tiny flag in a sand trap labeled "budget." His lawyer cousin found my number through a public records request and left a voicemail about "consequences." I ended up posting the voicemail transcript with a link to the golf course receipt, and that shut it down pretty fast. Not saying that'll work for you, but sometimes showing the receipts makes threats look silly. Keep a paper trail for everything.
