That time I posted a climate change meme in 3 different countries and only 1 banned it

I tried sharing a pretty mild meme about rising sea levels in local subreddits for the US, UK, and Australia last month. The US and UK versions stayed up fine, but the Australian one got flagged within 2 hours for 'misinformation' even though it just showed a graph from NOAA. I guess the free speech line moves depending on where you post, which is kind of wild. Has anyone else noticed certain topics getting banned way faster in one country vs another?

Yeah it's wild how much the same content gets treated differently. I've noticed it with stuff like vaccine info too, one country's government will call it dangerous and another will say it's fine. Makes you wonder if we're even living in the same internet sometimes.

The whole global disagreement on what's true or dangerous really does make you question who's actually looking out for everyone's best interest. It's like each government has their own version of reality and they're all convinced theirs is the only right one. Makes you wonder if we'll ever reach a point where information can just be information without all the political baggage attached.
