Twitter nuked all the debate meme edits and now I'm questioning things

Just noticed every meme joke about the recent election debate got pulled from Twitter real quick. My friends think it's fine to stop spread of fake news, but free speech folks say it kills off critical humor. I see both sides but wonder where the line is for online talk. How do you all feel about this?

Hey @abby_henderson did you catch which memes got hit? Most platforms clean up stuff that breaks rules, nothing new there.

I saw about a dozen political meme accounts get locked last night. One was that "PatriotPosting" page with the cartoon eagles. It feels like the rules get applied differently depending on who you are. Makes you wonder what the real line is anymore.
