PSA: My school library blocked a search for 'historical protest signs'

I was doing research for a paper on campus activism and the library database flagged that search term. The librarian told me it was because the word 'protest' triggered the content filter. Has anyone else had a basic research topic get blocked like that?

Oh man, that's wild. My search for "how to bake a potato" once got flagged as "suspicious activity". I am apparently a very dangerous person.

Try clearing your cookies and search history, that usually fixes the potato-baker flag for me.

Sounds like a lazy filter. Just ask the librarian to override it.
