Appreciation post: 11 years of pushing the clippers the wrong way on the back of the head
I was giving a fade to a regular named Dave at my chair in Portland when he asked why the back of his head always felt bumpy two days later. Turns out I had been pushing the clippers up instead of down on the nape, which lifts the hair and leaves those little ridges. Watched a 4 minute clip from a barber in Dallas and fixed it on the next 3 clients, and the difference in how the blend sits is night and day. Any of you catch a bad habit this late in the game, or am I the only one who needed a customer to point it out?
