I finally tried the 'dry cut before the wash' method on a tough cowlick
This guy came in with a really strong cowlick on his right side, said he'd been fighting it for years. I cut his hair dry first, just to see the natural fall, then washed and finished. It worked way better than my usual routine. Has anyone else tried this on a specific hair type like that?

That method is a waste of time on most hair. You get a better shape by cutting wet hair because it's predictable and even. A dry cut just leaves you guessing and fixing mistakes later.

Nah, wet hair can lie to you though. Dry cutting shows you exactly what you're working with from the start.
